Marma Therapy · Prahana Health’s Signature Healing Touch
The ancient therapy that speaks directly to your nervous system
Marma therapy works on the body’s vital energy points — easing pain, releasing held stress and restoring circulation through precise, gentle touch. No needles. No medicines. Performed personally by Dr. Deepshikha Gaur, BNYS, in Jamnagar.

What is Marma therapy?
Marma points are vital junctions in the body — places where muscles, veins, ligaments, bones and joints meet, described in India’s classical healing texts thousands of years ago. Traditional teaching maps 107 such points, each connected to the flow of energy and function in specific organs and systems. When stress, injury, poor posture or years of strain block these junctions, the body speaks up: pain, stiffness, heaviness, poor sleep, low energy.
Marma therapy is the art of releasing those junctions — through precise, gentle, sustained pressure and warm herbal oils. Nothing forceful, nothing invasive. Where deep-tissue massage works on muscle bulk, Marma works on the switchboard: the points where the nervous system, circulation and muscular tension can actually be reset. Most people are surprised by how gentle it is — and by how much moves.
What patients seek Marma therapy for
At Prahana Health, Marma sessions most often support: neck, shoulder and back pain — including cervical spondylitis and chronic back pain; joint stiffness and arthritis discomfort; tension headaches and migraine patterns; anxiety, restlessness and a nervous system stuck in overdrive; poor sleep; heaviness, fatigue and sluggish circulation; and recovery support — including post-pregnancy strengthening. It is offered as focused standalone sessions or woven into your fuller root-cause treatment plan.
Marma supports and comforts — it complements medical treatment, never replaces it.
What a session at Prahana Health looks like
Every session begins with a short assessment — your pain pattern, posture, stress and sleep — so Dr. Deepshikha knows which Marma points your body is asking for. You lie comfortably while she works through the selected points with calibrated finger pressure and warm herbal oil, each point held, released and allowed to respond. Sessions typically run 30–60 minutes. Most people describe a distinctive experience: tender points that “light up” and then let go, warmth spreading through tight areas, and afterwards a calm that many say they haven’t felt in months. Some feel pleasantly heavy or sleepy — that’s the nervous system finally standing down. We’ll advise you on water, rest and simple aftercare, and how many sessions your pattern realistically needs.
What patients report
Patients commonly report noticeable pain relief and looser movement after early sessions, deeper sleep the same night, and — with a course of sessions — lasting release of tension patterns they had carried for years. Several Google reviews mention Marma by name.

Your questions, answered
Does Marma therapy hurt?
No — the pressure is precise, not forceful. Blocked points can feel tender when first touched, and that tenderness typically melts as the point releases. Most people find sessions deeply relaxing.
Is it just a massage?
No. Massage works broadly on muscles; Marma works on specific vital points with therapeutic intent — selected for your condition, held and released in sequence. The training, precision and purpose are entirely different, even if both involve skilled hands.
How many sessions will I need?
Acute tension often eases meaningfully within 1–3 sessions; long-held patterns — years of neck strain, chronic stress — usually respond best to a short course with gaps between sessions. You’ll get an honest estimate at assessment. Results vary from person to person.
Is it safe for me? Can I take it alongside my medical treatment?
Marma is gentle and runs comfortably alongside medical treatment — nothing about it interferes with your medicines, which always continue as prescribed. Do tell us about pregnancy, recent injuries, fractures or surgeries beforehand, so sessions are adapted or timed appropriately — and acute injuries are always medically evaluated first.
