Arthritis & Joint Pain · Natural Root-Cause Care
Stiff mornings? Knees that warn you before the stairs do?
Painkillers silence the joint — they don’t calm the inflammation behind it. Root-cause natural arthritis care with Dr. Deepshikha Gaur, BNYS, working alongside your orthopaedic or rheumatology treatment.

When your joints start making the decisions
The first steps of the morning taken like a negotiation. Sitting cross-legged on the floor — gone. Stairs planned in advance, weather changes felt in the knees before the sky shows them, and the quiet grief of giving up walks, temple visits, playing with grandchildren. Arthritis shrinks life one activity at a time — and “just take a painkiller and rest” only speeds the shrinking, because joints that stop moving stiffen faster.
What’s really inflaming the joints
Joint pain is rarely only “wear and tear.” The threads we most often find: an inflammatory diet quietly feeding the fire at every meal; extra body weight multiplying the load on knees and hips with every step; weakened supporting muscles leaving joints to absorb shocks alone; a disturbed gut — the gut–joint connection in arthritis is well recognised; and poor sleep and chronic stress, both of which lower the body’s pain threshold. Address the fire and the load together, and joints get room to recover.

Inflammation is fed or calmed at every meal — food is where we begin.
The natural approach at Prahana Health
Dr. Deepshikha Gaur, BNYS, works on both sides of joint pain — the inflammation and the load: anti-inflammatory therapeutic food from your own kitchen; gentle, joint-safe mobility and strength work that rebuilds the muscles protecting each joint; weight support where needed; gut restoration; sleep correction; and Marma therapy for pain relief and circulation. If you have rheumatoid or autoimmune arthritis, this runs strictly alongside your rheumatologist’s treatment — disease-modifying medicines are never stopped on our advice.

Marma, movement and warmth — easing pain while the body rebuilds.
Joint pain often overlaps with excess weight, back pain, spondylitis and autoimmune patterns. A root-cause plan addresses them together.
What patients report
Patients who follow their plans consistently commonly report easier mornings, less swelling, more comfortable movement and better sleep — with their orthopaedic or rheumatology care continuing as prescribed.

Why does arthritis feel worst in the first hour after waking?
Many people with arthritis tell me the same thing: the knees and fingers feel set in cement until the kettle has boiled. There is a plain reason for it. Through a still night, the fluid that cushions a joint becomes thicker and slower to move, and in an inflamed joint a little swelling settles into the tissue around it. Movement warms that fluid and thins it again, which is why a joint often works better once it has been used a while. Morning stiffness that eases within twenty or thirty minutes is common with joint pain. Stiffness that hangs on for an hour or more is worth mentioning to your doctor, because it tells them something useful about how active the inflammation is.
So make the first movements of the day small, warm and unhurried. Before your feet touch the floor, circle each ankle a few times, open and close both fists slowly, bend and straighten the knees under the blanket — a minute or two, no strain. A warm shower, or a warm compress over the joint that troubles you most, does more at this hour than any stretch attempted cold. Then eat something with protein rather than only chai and biscuit — moong chilla, dahi, a boiled egg — and take an easy ten-minute walk once breakfast has settled. On damp Jamnagar mornings, keep the knees and neck covered for that walk; cool, wet air makes stiff joints guard more. Keep the timing roughly the same each day. Joints answer to rhythm as much as to effort.

Your questions, answered
Can I stop my painkillers or arthritis medicines?
Not on your own. As pain and stiffness reduce, many patients naturally reach for painkillers less — but prescribed arthritis medicines, especially for rheumatoid arthritis, are only ever adjusted by your treating doctor.
Is this for osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis?
Both benefit from the anti-inflammatory, movement and gut foundation — but the plans differ, and rheumatoid/autoimmune cases always run in coordination with your rheumatologist. Share your diagnosis on WhatsApp and the plan is built for your pattern.
My joints hurt — shouldn’t I avoid exercise?
Rest feels safer but stiffens joints further. The answer is the right movement: gentle, joint-safe, progressive — never painful. That’s exactly what your plan teaches, step by step.
I’m above 60. Is it too late to improve?
No — muscles respond to training and inflammation responds to food at every age. Progress may be gradual, but “gradual” still means walking further next season than this one. Results vary from person to person.
